Lavender has been used for centuries in love spells and sachets. The scent itself attracts love and is said to protect against cruelty. The flowers are burned and smouldered to induce sleep and rest, and scattered throughout the home to maintain it's peacefulness (infuse lavender into water to make a floor wash)
